Wood  Figure of Buddha

Height: 13,8 cm/12,8cm


Seated in virasana,  his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra – the gesture “ for the earth to witness", the left resting on his lab, wearing samghati, his face with serene expression, arched eyebrows above slit eyes, aquiline nose,  happy face with smiling lips, elongated earlobes, curled hair dress and usnisha which is surmounted by a flame. Beautiful aging of the wood,traces of laquer and gilding.
