Bronze Figure of Buddha

16/17th Century

Height: 16,5 cm / 25,3 cm    


Seated in virasana on a shaped base, both hands in dyanamudra, his face with serene expression, arched eyebrows above half closed eyes, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, curled hairdress and usnisha which is surmounted by a flame (missing). Mainly greenish patina. The separate base has some inscription-in Khmer- on the back.  A classic  beautiful piece. The happy Buddha is resting in deep meditation.
