Bronze Figure of Buddha
16/17th
Century
Height:
16,5cm
Seated in virasana on a base,
his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra – the
gesture “ for the earth to witness", the left
resting on his lab, wearing samghati, his face with
serene expression, arched eyebrows above slit eyes,
aquiline nose, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, curled
hair dress and usnisha which is surmounted by a flame.
Good details. As the bronze had cracks enforced with
base probably in the middle of 20th century.
